Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
🥚 General Questions
Q: What types of eggs do you sell?
A: We sell both chicken eggs and duck eggs, gathered daily from our hens and ducks.
Q: What’s the difference between duck and chicken eggs?
A: Duck eggs are larger, have a richer flavor, and contain more protein and fat than chicken eggs. They’re great for baking! Chicken eggs are lighter in taste and more familiar to most households.
Q: Are your eggs organic?
A: While we are not certified organic, our birds are raised on USDA organic feed, roam freely, and are never given hormones or antibiotics.
🐓 Animal Care
Q: How are your chickens and ducks raised?
A: All of our birds are free-range but are secured in their large enclosure (run) to keep them safe from predators. They have daily access to sunshine and bugs, which keeps them healthy and produces nutrient-dense eggs.
Q: Do your birds live in cages?
A: Absolutely not. Our birds roam freely during the day and sleep safely in their coop at night.

🧊 Storage & Freshness
Q: How long do your eggs last?
A: Unwashed eggs can be kept unrefrigerated for up to 2 weeks and in the fridge for up to 3 months. Washed eggs should be refrigerated and consumed within 4–6 weeks.
Q: Are your eggs washed?
A: We typically leave eggs unwashed to preserve their natural protective coating, unless requested otherwise. If you prefer washed eggs, let us know when ordering.
Q: How should I store the eggs?
A: Keep unwashed eggs at room temperature or refrigerate them. Washed eggs should always be refrigerated.
🍳 Cooking & Usage
Q: Can I use duck eggs the same way as chicken eggs?
A: Yes! Just note that duck eggs are larger, so if a recipe calls for precise amounts, you may need to adjust. One duck egg is roughly equal to 1.5 chicken eggs.
Q: Are duck eggs safe to eat raw or soft-cooked?
A: As with any farm product, there’s always a small risk with undercooked eggs. We recommend cooking all eggs thoroughly, especially for those with weakened immune systems.
